You already have an interest in firearms. At Pennsylvania Gunsmith School®, you can develop the skills to repair, restore and customize them. Through hands-on projects and personal instruction, you’ll learn the precision, problem-solving, and craftsmanship you need to become a gunsmith, and will meet people who share your passion.
Gunsmiths play a key role in the growing firearms industry. Our 16-month Master Gunsmithing Program® teaches the practical skills you will use as a gunsmith. Our graduates work in gun shops, for manufacturers and sporting goods stores, and as owners of their own businesses. For centuries, gunsmiths have served their communities through skilled craftsmanship. Our curriculum is designed to prepare you to carry that tradition forward.

The Pennsylvania Gunsmith School® strives to promote confidence, awareness, appreciation, and a sense of pride and accomplishment in each student as they complete their training to become Master Gunsmiths.
Pete Hegseth, the United States Secretary of War, and formerly co-host of Fox and Friends Weekends, is a proponent of the Pennsylvania Gunsmith School®. He received an Honorary Diploma from PGS president, Bob Thacker, on October 27, 2022 along with WWII Veteran Pete Shaw. Later, he went on Fox and Friends Weekends, displaying his new diploma and discussed the importance of the trades and how important Gunsmithing is to our country.
2022-2023 Pennsylvania Gunsmith School® School of Distinction
The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) has named Pennsylvania Gunsmith School® as a School of Distinction for the 2022-23 school year. This award recognizes accredited member schools that demonstrated a commitment to the expectations and rigors of ACCSC accreditation, as well as a commitment to delivering quality educational programs to students.
